A comeback to vintage-inspired everything is almost always a way to captivate any crowd. From fashion collections borrowing vintage details to music incorporating tunes from the 70’s, home-cooked meals at the dining and styling your hair to look poofy and well in place. If you’re wondering why we’re always collecting memorabilia like the glass Coco-Cola bottles, vinyl and gramophones… it’s because Vintage never dies. And here’s why:

Fashion
Vintage pieces are always a motif to come back to in fashion. Usual reoccurring vintage styles include a flare skirt, socks peeping out of your shoes, greatly styled hair, trousers, and tailored everything. As a lot of today’s trends take cues from the past, we’re all left to expect that vintage fashion themes are always in. Fashion moves in a cycle. So we might as well invest in vintage key pieces.

Lifestyle
Something about the 20s and 50s gives us a sense of nostalgia. It was wholesome time then — people recycled their glass bottles, did salon treatments and styled their hair meticulously and home-cooked dinners were totally an everyday thing. The times were simpler and not disturbed by so many complications. The way people lived their lives back then in some sort of dream, an escape from the pressures of modernity. Which is why people still collect typewriters and vinyl records.
Let’s not forget the dancing. While the music is so loud and sweet, everyone was always in tune with the beat. Whenever you feel the need to groove, ditch EDM and go for a tasteful and nostalgic dancing mode of a time so vintage and chic.

Music
When there’s dancing, there’s good music. Not only did people from the 20s-50s know how to dress, they had exceptional music too. Ray Charles, The Beatles, Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley. Their music had catchy tunes and memorable lyrics. These make up the soulful sounds we cannot get enough of.
It’s no wonder we’re never ever done with vintage. The fashion, lifestyle and music conjures up an era of class and suave.
